Account Settings: profile, location, and purchases
Account Settings (/account/) is where you manage profile details that apply across courses—display name, organization (teachers and IT), optional gender when still unset, email change (with password + verification), password change, state and time zone, and (for teachers/IT) paid course instances.
State and time zone
MAP can record a US state (from public IP on sign-in) and an IANA time zone (from your browser on sign-in). These values help IT filter teacher audiences for operational notices and support standards-related outreach.
- Automatically determined — updates on each successful sign-in when you leave the field on Auto
- Manual choice — pick a fixed state or time zone; login detection will not overwrite it until you switch back to Auto
- Localhost / non-US IPs may leave state empty until you set it manually
Paid course instances
Teachers and IT see purchased 12-month course instances with class and student caps and expiry. Details of purchasing and seats: Course purchases, tiers, and student seats.

FAQ
